I love you more than words can tell.

This has been a bittersweet week to say the least. On Monday I booked my flight and reserved a hotel in SF for the New Year's run. Later that day I found out my grandpa was rushed to the hospital with pneumonia. Today I learned he may not make it through the weekend.

It's very ironic. My grandfather is the most conservative person I know. He doesn't see any value in the music that we all enjoy. That being said, if it weren't for him I would have not been able to see Furthur this New Years. He funded my trip 100%. He wants what's best for me and he knows that enjoying what I value is important.

My grandpa is the person who I have looked up to the most in my life. I won't go into detail, but he has lived an incredible life, one that most people could only dream of.

I'll appreciate good vibes and support, but that wasn't my purpose of this post. My purpose was to just share a (very brief and abridged) story of a great man.

Hoping for the best, preparing for the worst.
Sure don't know, what I'm goin' for, but I'm gonna go for it for sure.

Prayers for your grandfather. My mother-in-law survived pneumonia several times.

Your grandfather is a wise man, and knows that experience makes a man. Take your time spend the last bit of time you get with your gdad. I will never forget the time i had with my gma right before she passed....priceless.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. My grandfather actually improved slightly yesterday and while very weak, is now home from the hospital. He has 24/7 care at home now though. At least I didn't have to say goodbye yet...
